Old Fashioned Mac & Cheese Recipe

  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 2-1/2 cups 2% milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 ounces pasteurized prepared cheese product, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 8 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 package (16 ounces) elbow macaroni, cooked, rinsed, drained
  • 8 ounces Buddig Sliced Turkey, chopped (or your favorite Buddig sliced meat)
  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Spray a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray; set aside.
  • Combine milk and eggs in a large bowl until blended.
  • Stir in butter and pepper.
  • Stir in cheeses.
  • Add macaroni and Buddig meat.
  • Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
  • Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until top is just starting to brown and edges are bubbling.
  • Variation: Top with buttered cracker crumbs – stir 1 cup crushed cracker crumbs into 2 tablespoons melted butter.
  • Sprinkle over top of macaroni mixture before baking.
