    Spicy Turkey Sandwiches

    Ingredients

    • 1 to 11/2 lbs of sliced deli turkey, depending on how protein-packed you want your sandwiches to be
    • 6 buns, split (we prefer hoagie rolls or whole wheat buns)
    • 6 tbsp. mayonnaise (low-fat also works)
    • 12 lettuce leaves
    • Fresh cilantro leaves to taste
    • Spicy peppers to taste, thinly sliced (a Habañero pepper works for those who can handle their spice—Jalapeño peppers are great for a more manageable heat level)

    Directions

    • Take the bun bottoms and spread mayonnaise evenly on each one.
    • Next, take your sliced peppers and spread them evenly over the mayo.
    • Now, take your cilantro and layer it on top of the mayo.
    • Finally, take your deli turkey and top each bun with a generous portion, layering lettuce leaves in as well.
    • Place the bun tops on each sandwich and you're done. Serve cold or lightly toasted with some fries for extra crunch!
