Delicious, Easy Snacks to Make Whenever You Need a Pick-Me-Up
Hot Italian Sliders
Source
Ingredients
- 9 slices salami
- 6 slices deli Buddig Ham
- 6 slices Buddig Pastrami
- 6 slices mozzarella cheese (provolone or Swiss are great too)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1 package (12 oz.) Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp. store-bought pesto
- 1 cup store-bought giardiniera
- 1 cup basil leaves (fresh)
- 1/2 cup red onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup Italian salad dressing
- Pepperoncini (optional)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Halve the sweet rolls horizontally and place the bottom rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Combine the mayonnaise and pesto and spread on the bottom layer of the rolls. Top with a layer of salami, ham, pastrami, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, giardiniera, basil leaves, red onions, and pepperoncini (if desired).
- Place the top layer of rolls over everything else and press gently to make sure everything sticks together.
- Bake for around 10 minutes before taking out the baking dish. Brush the top of the rolls with Italian salad dressing then bake for an additional 5 minutes—the cheese should be melted and the rolls should be golden brown.
- Let the sliders cool a bit before cutting them into individual sandwiches.
Cheese on Rye Appetizers
Source

- 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 loaf rye bread (party-sized)
- 6 tbsp. mayonnaise
- 2.5 oz. ripe pitted olives, chopped
- 3/4 cup green onions
- 1/3 tsp. curry powder
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, olives, green onions, curry powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cut the rye bread into small squares or triangles (around 3 inches).
- Spread the cheese mixture over the slices of rye bread then place on an ungreased baking sheet. Broil for around 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve warm with a side of tomato salsa or your favorite dip.
Ham and Cheese Strombolis
Source
Ingredients
- 1 tube (11 oz.) French bread dough, refrigerated
- 10 slices Buddig Ham
- 6 slices cheese (Swiss is our favorite, but cheddar works as well)
- 1/4 cup onions, diced finely
- Honey mustard (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Line a baking sheet (ungreased) with parchment paper.
- Unroll the tube of French bread dough onto the baking sheet and flatten it out into a large rectangle.
- Place the slices of ham in the center of the dough, followed by the cheese and diced onions. Make sure to leave a roughly 1-inch border all around. Don't be afraid to overlap the slices of ham and cheese—you want to make sure everything stays in place.
- Fold up the sides of the dough over the ham, cheese, and onions then press gently to seal them in.
- Cut slits in the top of the dough then bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until it is golden brown.
- Let the stromboli cool a tad before slicing and serving. Drizzle honey mustard over the top or serve it on the side for dipping.

- 2 slices tomato
- 3 slices bread (white is classic but, for a healthier option, try whole grain)

- Put the bacon on one slice, along with one leaf of lettuce, one tomato slice, and the cranberry sauce.
