Easy, Cheesy Chicken Cordon Bleu

  • 8 slices Buddig Premium Deli Black Forest Ham
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/3 cup panko crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 4 sticks Cheddar cheese with Parmesan cheese sticks, cut in half
  • 4 chicken breast cutlets, pounded to ¼-inch thickness
  • 3 Tbsp. Dijon mustard (or to taste)
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Toss together Italian bread crumbs, panko crumbs and shredded Parmesan cheese in a shallow dish and reserve.
  • Wrap each cheese stick in a slice of ham, enclosing the cheese completely. Season chicken with salt and pepper to taste and spread mustard on one side of each cutlet. Place two wrapped cheese sticks on each cutlet and roll tightly. Use toothpicks to secure the rolls.
  • Dip rolls in beaten egg and roll in bread crumb mixture. Place chicken seam-side down in a baking pan and bake 30–35 minutes, or until chicken is completely cooked through. Remove toothpicks before serving. Serves 4.
